SSC CHSL Tier 1 2017 exam results declared: 53,201 qualify, check how you fared on

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) declared the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Tier I 2017 results on Thursday. The candidates can check their ranks on the official website:

A total of 53,201 candidates have qualified for the Tier II descriptive paper. If the candidates are unable to access the website due to increased web traffic, they should check the official web portal in regular intervals.

Earlier, the tentative date for the announcement of the Tier I results was 15 June. The date was then revised to 2 June. But the SSC has declared the result a day prior to the scheduled date.

The SSC conducted the CHSL 2017 examination at various exam centres across India to select candidates for various posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), DEO, postal and sorting assistant and court clerk personnel, News Nation reported.

The SSC CHSL Tier-I Exam was conducted from 7 January to 8 February. According to, 30.5 lakh candidates had appeared in the said SSC CHSL Tier I Examination 2017.

In 2016, the SSC had released an employment announcement to choose eligible candidates for 6,578 posts.

Step to obtain result:

  • Go to the official website:
  • Click on the Results tab.
  • Click on the 'CHSL' tab and select the 'click here' results link under 'Combined Higher Secondary(10+2) Examination 2016'.
  • Download the rank list and take a print out for future all references
