'Pure and pious' Radhe Maa says she'll set herself ablaze if allegations hold true

Radhe Maa, the self-styled godwoman, is facing heat on all fronts these days and has gone on to say that she will set herself ablaze if allegations of fraudulent wealth against her hold true.

According to a report in Hindustan Times , Radhe Maa (Sukhwinder Kaur) made a media appearance in a duplex apartment in Walkeshwar area of South Mumbai on Monday and challenged accusations against her and even invited a CBI probe to prove her innocence.

“If they find anything in my account, I am ready to set myself ablaze or even bury myself. I am innocent, pure and pious,” the report quoted her as saying.

Kaur’s comments come in the wake of summons issued to the religious leader by Mumbai Police in connection with a dowry harassment case filed by a 32-year-old woman in Mumbai.

The summons were issued to Radhe Maa, who was out of Mumbai for the last few days, after she returned to the city on Sunday, police said.

Radhe Maa has been accused of  instigating the husband and in-laws of a woman to demand dowry from her. The woman claimed that her parents had given jewellery worth Rs 102 crore at the time of her marriage. But Radhe Maa allegedly asked her in-laws to pressurise the woman to get more dowry from her parents.

Adding fuel to the fire, Kaur’s photos in western clothes and video exhibiting her dance moves surfaced on the internet and allegations of conning people in the name of religion followed.

Radhe Maa has since then come forward and defender herself and repeatedly called herself “pure and pious”.

“The world does not spare anyone. Those who have love for me and are my true ‘bhakts’, they like me and I am right for them,” she had said, speaking to Times Now.

However, Kaur has become the toast (or rather roast) of Twitter following controversies and has become the butt of jokes on social media owing to her appearance. On monday, #YoRadheMaaSoRed trended on Twitter and people happily troller her for her attire.
