New Delhi: Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, on Thursday, said his government is keeping an eye on the COVID-19 situation in the capital and will bring a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for hospitals.

The Chief Minister told the people of Delhi that “there is no need to panic” and that the hospitalisation related to COVID-19 has not increased.

Meanwhile, his deputy Manish Sisodia said that the Delhi government will soon issue guidelines for schools in view of the slight rise in COVID-19 cases.

Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia’s comments came amid reports of some school students testing positive for COVID-19 in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).

“COVID cases have slightly increased but there is no rise in hospitalisation, so we need not worry. There is no need to panic but stay alert. We have to learn to live with COVID. We are constantly monitoring the situation,” Sisodia said.

“I have got reports from a few schools in the past few days where parents have informed about their child testing positive. The education department will tomorrow (Friday) issue guidelines to schools in this regard,” he added.
