- The sex video allegedly featuring Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi and a lawyer has gone viral on social media platforms and on the Internet, defeating Singhvi’s legal exertions to have its telecast blocked in the mainstream media.

- A fast track court has awarded life imprisonment to retired Army officer Lt Col Ramraj for the  killing of a 13-year-old boy in July last year in Chennai. The incident took place at the Island Grounds Army Residential complex in Chennai in July last year, when Dilshan was shot dead while he was plucking almonds from a tree in the compound.

- Italy has agreed to pay Rs. 1 crore to each of the families of two dead Indian fishermen allegedly shot by Italian marines who mistook them for pirates. If the settlement goes through, the families would withdraw their civil complaint for compensation against the marines and withdraw requests for criminal action to be initiated against Enrica Lexie’s captain. In a new twist, the Centre says that Kerela had no right to detain the Italian ship.
