The security agencies have detained more than 250 people in southern Kashmir for questioning in connection with the Pahalgam terrorist attack, according to sources.
In Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, terrorists killed at least 26 people —mostly tourists— on Tuesday. They singled out non-Muslims and shot them dead. The Resistance Front (TRF), a front organisation of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has claimed responsibility for the attack.
As per the latest information, at least four terrorists, including two foreigners, are believed to be involved in the attack. Security agencies are investigating whether there were any locals who helped them in surveillance of the site of the attack or provided them a place to stay or resources to carry out the attack.
Overall, more than 1,500 overground workers and people with terror records and those with FIRs registered against them have been detained across Kashmir since the Pahalgam attack, sources told CNN-News 18.
