About CSC

The upcoming meeting follows a period of intensified engagement among CSC nations. The 6th NSA-level meeting was held in Mauritius in December 2023, and member countries reconvened in Sri Lanka in August 2024 for the signing of the organisation’s founding documents. Deputy National Security Advisers have also been meeting regularly, with their most recent virtual meeting held in July 2024.

Established to deepen collaboration on key security challenges, the CSC focuses on enhancing regional cooperation across the Indian Ocean.

Officials are expected to review progress across five core pillars: maritime safety and security, counterterrorism and counter-radicalization, combating transnational organized crime, cyber security and protection of critical infrastructure, and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.

The New Delhi meeting will also include discussions on the Roadmap and Action Plan for 2026, marking the next phase of strategic coordination among CSC partners.
