Facing allegations ranging from obscenity to harassment of devotees, self-styled godwoman ‘Radhe Maa’ defended herself on Sunday saying that there were no police cases against her and that she was ‘pure’
“There are no allegations against me. I don’t agree, neither does my god. I am right in the eyes of god. The world does not spare anyone. Those who have love for me and are my true ‘bhakts’, they like me and I am right for them,” she said, speaking to Times Now.
She also dismissed allegations of obscenity levelled against her.
“I have not done anything obscene. I am a mother. Is it obscenity if a mother loves her children. I am pure and pious,” she said.
‘Radhe Maa’ finds herself under the cloud of controversy since her controversial photos and video hit the internet .
Rahul Mahajan had tweeted out photos, which showed ‘Radhe Maa’ in skimpy clothing and a video of her dancing to a Bollywood number has been used by critics to question her actions.
Falguni Brahmbhatt, a lawyer, had filed a police complaint against Radhe Maa for running a business in the name of religion and misleading innocent people, a Zee News report said. She has also been booked under the Dowry Prohibition Act.
The FIR against Radhe Maa under the law prohibiting demand for dowry, has been filed by a 32-year old woman who has alleged that her in-laws are her followers, and that godwoman instigated them to harass her if the demand was not met.
