 "German national robbed, raped inside Bandra home")
In yet another frightening instance that has put the safety of Mumbai’s women in doubt, a German woman has been allegedly raped and robbed in her home in an upmarket housing society in the western suburb of Bandra, according to this report by NDTV .
The report said that the incident had occurred at around 4.30 am, and the woman had been living in her house on Perry Cross Road in Bandra for the last two years.
It added that police were conducting investigations and had registered a case against unknown persons. ( Read the full report )
According to the victim the man reportedly entered her flat in Bandra, stole the valuables before raping her.
The victim, a 27-year-old musician, was staying on rent on the third storey of a building located on the Perry Cross Road in Bandra west.
The intruder entered the flat through the window and brandished a knife asking her to hand over her valuables, a senior police officer told CNN-IBN .
