Ganja smuggler’s 16-year-old daughter gang-raped by his friends in Kerala

Thrissur: The 16-year-old daughter of a ganja smuggler was gang-raped by three of his friends when she was alone at home at Vadakkekkad on the outskirts of Thrissur town, according to reports. The accused repeated the crime two days later, while police have arrested one of them, The New Indian Express reported. The incident, which happened in May, came to light after the victim’s class teacher noticed changes in her behaviour. As per the report, the accused came to her home on a day when her parents were not there. While she told them that her father was not present, the three accused barged into the house and gang-raped her. The minor girl was gang-raped again by the same persons two days later. As her teacher took her to the school counsellor after observing the changes in her behaviour, the victim who was in deep depression shared the ordeal. The girl had earlier informed about this to her mother, but she didn’t report it to the police. “The girl’s father has been involved in ganja smuggling. His three friends, who allegedly gang-raped the girl, are also drug smugglers and addicts too. One of them was taken into custody on 13 August. The other two will be arrested soon,” the report quoted a police official as saying.
