New Delhi: The CBI court in Delhi currently hearing the 2G case, is questioning a man who key prosecution witness Aseervatham Achary has claimed tried to kill him in August.
Firstpost reporter Pallavi Polanki who is in the court, said Achary who was scheduled to be cross examined by Raja’s lawyer had suddenly become extremely agitated and broken down. He had then sought permission from the court to say something, and shouted that a man who tried to kill him had been sitting next to former Telecom Minister A.Raja’s ex secretary RK Chandolia and had just left the courtroom premises.
Achary had said that on 20 August, a stranger had tried to enter his home claiming to be one of his relatives, but had been stopped by the PSO security provided to him by the Delhi police. He said the incident had left both him and his family badly shaken, adding that he was able to positively identify that the ‘stranger’ had been sitting next to Chandolia in the courtroom today. Achary had also detailed another incident in September, where someone claiming to be from the Ministry of Railways had reportedly been asking about his whereabouts.
Meanwhile the man who is in court, has said that he was employed as an office boy, and was working with Reliance executive Gautam Doshi. He has denied that he tried to get into Aseervatham’s house and has been taken away for interrogation by the police.
The defence legal team has complained to the judge that the witness is creating drama in court. Cross examination has resumed.
