For the first time in 10 years, the Congress party appears to be winning a seat in 2025 Delhi assembly elections

For the first time in 10 years, the Congress party appears to be winning a seat in Delhi assembly elections.

In the early trends, Congress’ Devender Yadav is ahead of Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Ajesh Yadav in Badli, according to CNN-News 18.

In the 2015 and 2020 Delhi elections, Congress could not win a seat.

In the 2013 Delhi elections, AAP had defeated the Sheila Dikshit-led Congress government that ruled the union territory for 15 years.

As per the latest early trends at 9:45 am, the BJP is past the majority mark and is leading on 42 seats and the AAP is ahead on 27. However, early trends are not necessarily reflective of eventual results as postal ballots are counted first and votes cast on electronic voting machines (EVMs) are counted later. The bulk of votes are cast on EVMs.
