New Delhi: Services got stalled due to server and network problems at the passport offices across India on Tuesday morning. The applicants struggled to maintain calm amidst the breakdown of the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) data server. Many applicants were angry as no assurance was given by the passport authority on when the services will resume. Users took to Twitter to complain about the state of passport offices across India. In a video, irritated and frustrated citizens can be seen shouting at the authorities in Delhi for not providing any explanation on the next appointment date. State of passport office in Delhi, server is down no resolution at all on when the next appointment will be there, Sukriti Arora, a Twitter user tweeted.
Many applicants faced a harrowing time and were very angry towards the authorities as they didn’t wanted their appointment to be postponed for another 2-3 months. Booked the appointment in September and got today’s date, don’t want to wait for another 2-3 months, a twitter user Shubham Mittal tweeted.
After waiting for four hours, passport office in Mumbai asked the citizens to reschedule their appointments or leave the office.
In Indore, zero clarity on resumption was provided.
Various passport offices across India were hit by the technical failure of the data server leaving the citizens angry and frustrated as the authorities didn’t hold the accountability.
