In the Union Budget 2025-26, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced ‘Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojna’ for farmers.
The scheme would be run in partnership with states in 100 districts with low productivity and around 1.7 crore farmers would be covered, said Sitharaman.
The objective of the scheme is to create opportunities in rural areas so that migration is an option and not a necessity, said Sitharaman.
