After the Odisha BSE declared the results of 5,33,831 students, 678 schools recorded a pass percentage of 100%. Meanwhile, in 31 schools, none of the students cleared the exams, according to reports.

1,279 students score above 90%

A total of 1,279 students secured the A1 grade, by scoring above 90 percent.  above 90 per cent (A1) marks, while 8,458 got the A2 grade.

18,188 students have secured B1 grade, 31,328 have secured B2 grade, 49,153 have received C grade, 89,556 have received D grade, 2,23,195 and 1,12,575 have secured grades E and F respectively.

Girls register higher pass percentage than boys

At a pass percentage of 81.98 percent, girls outperformed boys, 77.8 percent of whom cleared the Odisha Class 10 exams.

Students will need to score at least 33 percent marks in every subject and a minimum of 20 percent as aggregate to clear the Odisha board’s Class 10 exams. In order to secure first division grade, a student needs to score over 60 percent marks overall.

Top 100 students to get Rs 5,000 as scholarship

Top 100 students will get scholarship of Rs 5,000 under the Chief Minister’s Mukhyamantri Medhabruti Puraskar Yojana.

The scheme was launched last year and the students will be selected by the government from each block and municipal corporation.

In 2019, the overall pass percentage was 70.78 percent for the Class 10 results. A total of 2,05,470 female students and 1,91,655 male students had passed the exam.
