India defeated Bangladesh by 41 runs in the 2025 Asia Cup Super 4s clash in Dubai, with Abhishek Sharma scoring a blazing 75. Kuldeep Yadav led the bowling attack and India reached their 12th Asia Cup final. The Men in Blue are now awaiting the winner of Pakistan vs Bangladesh.

India extended their winning run in the 2025 Asia Cup on Wednesday, defeating Bangladesh by 41 runs in their Super 4s clash in Dubai to book a place in the final. Opener Abhishek Sharma led the way with a blistering 75 off just 37 balls, sharing a solid partnership with Shubman Gill again that laid the foundation for India’s total of 168/6.

Bangladesh struggled to chase the target, finishing at 127 in 19.3 overs as India’s bowlers dominated the innings. Kuldeep Yadav was once again was the pick of the bowlers for India, and at one stage, he was even on a hat-trick. Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy, and Axar Patel also contributed.

Bangladesh’s only bright spots were Saif Hassan’s 69 and Parvez Hossain Emon’s 21, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to cross the single-digit mark. The Indian bowlers kept things tight and never allowed the visitors to build momentum.

- India have had the most dropped catches in the Asia Cup 2025 so far, with 12 missed chances and a catch efficiency of just 67.5 percent. Hong Kong & China (11), Bangladesh (8), Sri Lanka (6), Afghanistan (4), Oman (4), Pakistan (3), UAE (2) are next on the list.

- Mustafizur Rahman became Bangladesh’s highest wicket-taker in T20Is with 150 wickets, surpassing former all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan (149). Taskin Ahmed (99), Mahedi Hasan (61), and Shoriful Islam (58) follow in the list.

- Abhishek Sharma reached 50 in 25 or fewer balls for the fifth time in T20Is, joining India’s fastest hitters. Suryakumar Yadav (7), Rohit Sharma (6), Yuvraj Singh (4), KL Rahul (3) are other Indians on the list.

With this emphatic win, India now await their final opponents in the Asia Cup 2025 final. Pakistan and Bangladesh will play the virtual semifinal on Thursday, September 25. India will play either one of these teams in the final.
