Who is Siddharth Sharma, Zubeen Garg's manager linked to singer's death?

Prominent singer Zubeen Garg passed away on 19th September in a tragic accident while scuba diving in Singapore. While this news sent shockwaves across the nation, multiple FIRs were registered against the organiser of the North East India Festival in Singapore, named Shyamkanu Mahanta and Garg’s manager Siddharth Sharma, in connection with the singer’s death.

Who is Siddharth Sharma?

As per Voice of Assam’s X handle, who has been serving as the manager of Zubeen Garg since 2014, has acquired wealth and properties worth several crores and currently owns multiple high-value assets in Assam. This includes a multi-crore luxury hotel, Royal Heritage in Guwahati’s Lakhra area, a water company located in Six Mile, Guwahati, along with two luxurious flats.

Siddharth operates a Music Management Office on Zoo Road, Guwahati and has also taken over as the Managing Director of Zubeen Garg Music LLP since 2023.

Now, the big question raised here is that the singer didn’t even have half the valuation. So, how Siddharth made it so big in such a short span of time.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has shared that the Assam Police has also been told to transfer the case to CID.

Biswa Sarma said, “His post mortem has been completed and the body handed over to those who were with him in presence of Indian embassy officials…He will reach New Delhi on Saturday night and will likely arrive in Guwahati early on Sunday…”

“Multiple FIRs have been filed against Shri Syamkanu Mahanta and Shri Sidharth Sarma in connection with…demise of our beloved Zubeen Garg. I have directed the @DGPAssamPolice to transfer all the FIRs to the CID and to register a consolidated case for a thorough investigation,” Sarma said on X.

“I spoke to the High Commissioner of Singapore, His Excellency Simon Wong, and requested a detailed enquiry into the circumstances leading to the untimely demise of our beloved Zubeen Garg…,” he said in another post.
