Women's T20 World Cup 2024: 'Worst possible result', Netizens react to India's 58-run loss against New Zealand

The India women’s cricket team got their 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup off to a horrendous start following a 58-run loss to New Zealand in their Group A match in Dubai on Friday. Much was expected from the Women in Blue, but in the end, they were completely outplayed by a confident New Zealand side that excelled across all departments. India were asked to field after New Zealand won the toss.

Skipper Sophie Devine led from the front with an unbeaten 57 to propel the White Ferns to 160/4. That total was more than enough for New Zealand, with Rosemary Mair (4/19) and Lea Tahuhu (3/15) sharing seven wickets between them to bowl out India for 102 in 19 overs.
