Punjab Kings list of retained and released players: Punjab Kings (PBKS) have retained just two uncapped players in Shashank Singh (Rs 5.5 crore) and Prabhsimran Singh (Rs 4 crore) ahead of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction scheduled for later this year.
This means Punjab Kings have gone for a major overhaul of the squad, after they missed out on the playoffs once again in IPL 2024. Punjab Kings had finished ninth out of 10 teams in IPL 2024 with 10 points. Punjab Kings will go into the IPL 2025 mega auction with the biggest purse among all ten teams (Rs 110.50 crore)

Skipper Shikhar Dhawan played only five matches for Punjab Kings in IPL 2024 before a shoulder injury ruled him out for the rest of the season. Sam Curran led the franchise for a major part of the season, whereas Jitesh Sharma led the team in their final match of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
