The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction is not over and Day 2 (25 November) at the Abadi Al Johar Arena in Jeddah on Monday promises to be as exciting as the opening day . On Sunday, at the opening day of IPL Auction 2025 , Rs 467.95 crore was spent by all 10 franchises to buy 72 players while 12 players went unsold . Overall, 84 players went under the hammer on Day 1.
The Day 2 of the IPL Auction 2025 will start with the auction of player No. 85 (earlier 84) and the normal process will be followed till the auctioning of player No. 117 (earlier 116).
An accelerated process will begin after the business is done for player No. 117. In the accelerated auction process , the 10 IPL franchises must submit a list of 25 players from the list of remaining players for the fast-tracking phase. In the second round of the accelerated auction process, unsold and unrepresented players can be brought back after renomination from the franchises.
Overall, 577 players are part of the IPL Auction 2025, and the franchises are looking to fill 204 slots. So far, 72 slots have been filled, which means 132 slots are still left, and there’s a maximum of Rs 173.55 crore to spend among all 10 franchises.
