The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction that took place on 24 and 25 November in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah witnessed records being broken. Rishabh Pant became the most expensive player when he was acquired by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for Rs 27 crore.
This was just minutes after Punjab Kings (PBKS) got the services of Shreyas Iyer for Rs 26.75 crore. A total of 182 players were sold across the two days, with another 103 cricketers going unsold. There were quite a few players who entered the IPL auction with a much lesser base price, but their final prices were far higher.
