Massive blow to India’s hopes at the start of this over as Sams gets rid of Kohli with a short, wide delivery that gets a bottom-edge off Kohli’s bat before landing in Wade’s gloves. Iyer walks out to bat, getting off the mark right away with a single. Pandya collects a couple of doubles, before ending the over with a boundary. Nine off the over along the wicket. India need another 37 off 18.

OUT! Smart work by Sams after watching Kohli make room for himself while stepping out of his crease! Alters his line and length right away, with the ball brushing past the toe-end of Kohli’s bat, with Wade timing his jump well to complete the catch behind the stumps. Zampa’s dismissal of Dhawan in this over — occurring in the second delivery — suddenly positions the hosts as favourites in this game. Samson walks out to bat ahead of Iyer mainly due to his strike rate, and gets off the mark with a single. Kohli gives the team a boost with a six off the penultimate delivery, before collecting a brace off the last ball. 11 off the over along with the wicket, with India need 90 to win off 48.

The southpaw collects three off the last ball after guiding the ball towards fine leg. Eight off the over.
