Gujarat Titans (GT) made their first purchase at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction early on as they bought South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada for Rs 10.75. There was a bidding war for Rabada’s services at the IPL 2025 Auction on Sunday (24 November) as Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore tried to capture the bid but GT stayed strong till the end and added the bowler to their squad. Punjab Kings (PBKS) had an opportunity to use the RTM (right-to-match) card but they decided against it.
GT strengthened their squad with the purchases of England captain Jos Buttler, and pacers Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna as well as a few uncapped Indian players.
