India will aim to take a series lead when they face Australia in the fourth T20I at the Carrara Oval in Queensland on Thursday (6 November). The series is currently tied 1-1 after the first game was washed out. Australia won the second match by four wickets before India made a comeback in the previous match, winning it by five wickets.
The 4th T20 between India and Australia will be played from 6.15 local time (1.45 PM IST) at the Carrara Oval stadium in Gold Coast, Queensland. India will be without Kuldeep Yadav in the match as he has been sent back to prepare for the South Africa Tests. Meanwhile, Travis Head has also left the Australian squad to prepare for the Ashes.
It will be interesting to see if Arshdeep Singh, who missed out on the first two T20Is, will be retained by Team India after taking three wickets in the third match. While explaining his absence, Indian bowling coach Morne Morkel said that the management wants to try out other combinations before the T20 World Cup in 2026.
“Arshdeep is experienced. He understands that there is also a bigger picture where we are trying different combinations,” Morkel said. “He is a world-class bowler and has taken the most wickets for us in the powerplay, so we know how valuable he is to the team.
“But for us on the day, on this tour, it is also to have a look at other combinations, and he understands that.”
Morkel has also hinted that Nitish Reddy could make a comeback, but the final decision on the injured all-rounder will be taken before the game.
