Warner set for Pakistan return, Cummins ‘likely’ to tour India for IPL 2025: Report

Australian players are ready to return to India and Pakistan for their respective T20 leagues, which are expected to start soon. The Indian Premier League (IPL) 205 will be back by Saturday, 17 May , with Royal Challengers Bengaluru taking on Kolkata Knight Riders. The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has not announced any dates, but reports have indicated that they will soon be restarting at Lahore and Islamabad.

As per the Australian newspaper, The Age, David Warner, who captains Karachi Kings, has confirmed that he will return to Pakistan for PSL once the dates are finalised, while Pat Cummins’ manager also said that the pacer is “likely” to be back in India to captain Sunrisers Hyderabad.

SRH are already knocked out of the IPL 205 but they still have three league matches to play, with the first one after the restart being against Lucknow Super Giants on 19 May.

The Age reported that Ben McDermott is also planning got return to PSL, while RCB pacer Josh Hazlewood could skip the remaining matches of RCB in IPL 2025 due to a shoulder issue.

There’s no clarity on other Australian players, including Travis Head, Josh Inglis and Mitchell Starc, who are part of IPL 2025, and also Australia's World Test Championship (WTC) final squad . The WTC final is on 11 June, while the IPL final is scheduled for 3 June.
