India defeated Bangladesh by a huge margin of 41 runs in their Super 4s match of the Asia Cup 2025 on Wednesday, September 24, and secured a place in the final. Chasing 169 runs, Bangladesh struggled and managed only 127 in 19.3 overs as India’s bowlers dominated the game from start to finish.

Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Tilak Varma shared the wickets and made sure Bangladesh never got close to the target. Saif Hassan’s 69 was the only bright spot for Bangladesh, but it was not enough to save them. Parvez Hossain Emon was the only other batter who got to the two-digit mark.

Earlier, India set a total of 168/6 in their 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma was the star with a blazing 75 off 37 balls, supported by Shubman Gill’s 29. Hardik Pandya also played a quick cameo of 38 runs to push India to a challenging score. However, it appeared that India fell short of at least 30 runs by the way they were batting in the first 10 overs of their innings.

The team lost quick wickets in the middle overs, which allowed Bangladesh bowlers to keep things tight and restrict them to below-par total. But, Indian bowlers showed why this Indian team is considered the best in the world as they made the target look very tough for Bangladesh batters.
