India vs Australia, 4th T20I Highlights: Axar Patel (21* off 11 and 2/20) delivered an all-round performance as India crushed Australia by 48 runs in a one-sided fourth T20I at the Carrara Oval on Thursday. India set a 168-run target for the hosts with Shubman Gill top-scoring with a 39-ball 46. For the Aussies, pacer Nathan Ellis (3/21) and leg-spinner Adam Zampa (3/45) collected three wickets each. In reply, Australian batting collapsed with Axar and Shivam Dube (2/20) taking a couple of wickets each. Washington Sundar (3/3) mopped up the tail with three late strikes to help India take a 2-1 lead going into the final match of the series.

The first T20I in Canberra was washed out due to rain. Australia then won the second match in Melbourne, chasing 126 runs in just 13.2 overs thanks to Josh Hazlewood’s fiery spell with the new ball, taking a 1-0 lead. But India bounced back strongly in the third T20I at Hobart, chasing down 187 runs in only 18.3 overs, levelling the series 1-1.

Washington Sundar’s big hitting and Arshdeep Singh’s sharp bowling made sure India stayed alive in the series. Suryakumar Yadav and his team will now look to win the fourth match and take a lead in the contest. Mitchell Marsh-led Australia will also look to do the same.
