Zubeen Garg's last film 'Roi Roi Binale' leaves fans disappointed as cinema halls suddenly hike ticket prices: Report

Late Assamese singer Zubeen Garg passed away last month after an unfortunate scuba diving incident in Singapore. As the investigation deepened, it was reported the accident happened due to drowning. The probe in the state is still on. And his loved ones continue to celebrate his legacy.

His last film which will be his posthumous release Roi Roi Binale, Rajesh Bhuyan’s directorial, has created history and havoc in its advance sales and all set for a massive start. The film is scheduled to release on October 31.

The upcoming musical drama has an advance booking sale of Rs 41.20 lakh gross on day 1. Around 13.5K tickets have been sold across the state from around 102 shows. The film stars Zubeen Garg, Mousumi Alifa, Joy Kashyap, and Achurjya Borpatra.

But Garg’s fans were shocked and surprised when they came to know that cinema halls increased the ticket prices abruptly. As per a report, Roi Roi Binale team issued a statement explaining that the hike resulted from dynamic pricing—a standard system used by multiplexes like PVR and Cinepolis, where rates rise after a certain percentage of seats are booked.

Zubeen Garg’s sudden demise has sent shockwaves across the country. While the investigation into his death is underway, the singer’s band member and the key witness, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami, has shared shocking details about Zubeen’s death and accused manager Siddharth Sharma and event organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta of poisoning the singer.

But there seems to be a new twist to the story as the late singer’s fellow bandmate Partha Pratim Goswami has made some shocking revelations against Garg’s manager and Shekhar Jyoti.

What Partha Pratim Goswami said

Partha was quoted saying, “The greatest negligence and carelessness were on the part of Siddharth (Zubeen Garg’s manager Siddharth Sharma) and Shekhar (bandmate Shekhar Jyoti Goswami).”

Goswami added, “You two, who stay close to Zubeen like shadows, brought someone who hadn’t slept and had been drinking and partying all night to swim in the sea, fully aware that Zubeen is a seizure patient. How could you do that?”
