Watch: The Weeknd's 'I Feet It Coming' featuring Daft Punk has out of the world MJ references
The Weeknd dropped the music video for his second Daft Punk collaboration, “I Feel It Coming,” at midnight on Friday.
Star Boy has gone interstellar.
The Weeknd finally decided to come through and release the official video for his third collaboration with Daft Punk in 'I Feel It Coming,' off his latest album Starboy. This was the tweet that started it all:

The music video is directed by the frequent Daft Punk collaborator Warren Fu (he also directed 'Get Lucky' for the electronic pop duo) and features an interesting premise: all the earthlings have turned into stone and Abel is left to serenade his love (Japanese model Kiko Mizuhara) in an apocalyptic atmosphere but sadly, she meets the same fate.
The video has great special effects and a surprise ending featuring Daft Punk (who still stubbornly don't want to showcase their faces on camera) that looks like a tribute to Star Wars and seems to set up future Starboy videos.
Abel's Michael Jackson influenced vocals on the song are mirrored by his outfit: a military jacket that has MJ overtures — as well as his dance moves and the occasional 'Billie Jean'-style split screen. Here's the original 'Billie Jean' for reference:
The track has the signature Daft Punk vibes and is particularly heavy on the vocoder. The song had already reached the number one spot without the music video last year, reports Complex.
