In a historic feat, the Killers Of The Flower Moon actress Lily Gladstone bagged the Best Actress award at the 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) 2024 after defeating Emma Stone who was nominated in the same category. She became the first Native American to win the particular title at the prestigious ceremony. Notably, Gladstone was nominated alongside actresses like Annette Bening for Nyad, Carey Mulligan for Maestro, Margot Robbie for Barbie, and lastly, Emma Stone for Poor Things.
While the hopes were quite high for Emma Stone to win the prestigious award, it seems the actress wasn’t much disappointed in losing out to Lily.
Instead, Emma was seen cheering as one of the biggest supporters of the Killers of the Flower Moon actress.
As soon as the presenter announced Lily Gladstone’s name as the winner of the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role in a Motion Picture, Emma was seen jumping from her seat and clapping and cheering straight away from the audience.
