WATCH: '12th Fail' star Vikrant Massey apologises to Sara Ali Khan in viral video, says 'I told her…'

Vikrant Massey and Sara Ali Khan came together for a film called Gaslight that came out in 2023. And one of the interviews of the actors, also featuring Chitrangda Singh, has gone viral. In the interview, the 12th Fail star can be seen apologizing to Sara and he has a reason for it.

Massey says, “Unfortunately, all of us have preconceived notions and there is a sense of understanding of, we’ve heard about it, nepotism and privilege. Especially in the last two or three years, it was right up there. Every conversation was about this. And I fell prey to that too! And a lot of what you end up believing also depends on the noise and people around you.”

I’m used to this, a little bit. I understand where I come from, who I am. There are preconceived notions attached to it and that doesn’t bother me."

Gaslight director Pavan Kirpalani on casting Sara Ali Khan

Watching Sara in an all-new avatar seems to be a happy surprise for movie lovers. Director of  Gaslight , Pavan Kirpalani said that he “saw something in Kedarnath  that really fascinated” him and after that he offered him the character.

Talking to Firstpost, when the filmmaker was asked whether  Sara  was the first choice for the film, Pavan replied, “Yes, she was! And when I finish writing the script and after  Bhoot Police , I worked with the same producers. I told them I have this script that I have written and they liked it and they asked me who I would like and the first person I said was Sara.”
