This Hollywood star extends help to 'Nickelodeon' actor Tylor Chase after he was found homeless on California streets

American actor and comedian Shaun Weiss, famous for his role in The Mighty Ducks, has finally extended help to Chase post his video.

“I have received many messages about [Tylor Chase],” Weiss said in a video on Instagram. “I reached out to some friends of mine, and we have a bed for him at a detox, and we have a place for him to go and get long-term treatment.”

“All we need to do now is find him. I’m not in Los Angeles, or I would go look for him myself,” Weiss added.

Taylor Chase: Battling addiction and mental health issues

Amid the actor’s video going viral, history about his mental health issues and addiction battle has resurfaced too. GoFundMe page that was opened to fund the actor was shut by its creator Citlalli Wilson, and there was a reason for the same.

What the actor’s mother said

“Tylor needs medical attention not money. But he refuses it,” Chase’s mother said at the time in a screenshot shared by Wilson, according to Primetimer. “I appreciate your effort. But money would not be a benefit to him. I have gotten him several phones, but he loses them within a day or two. He can’t manage money for his meds by himself.”

The shocking viral clip

The clip originated in September 2025 and resurfaced with renewed attention in December. In it, a passerby recognises Chase and engages him in conversation, to which he responds by confirming his Nickelodeon role. The encounter highlighted the stark contrast between his childhood fame and his current circumstances.

Co-stars’ reactions

Chase’s former Ned’s Declassified co‑stars, including Devon Werkheiser, Lindsey Shaw, and Daniel Curtis Lee, addressed the situation on their podcast. They have spoken about their concern and committed to helping him find a better path, stressing that his well‑being is the priority over any publicity or appearances.
