Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Vaccine War has released in cinemas today. And a video of the filmmaker has also gone viral where he can be seen talking about the people in power in the country and making allegations and accusations against them. While speaking to OpiIndia, he said how people holding constitutional power take money to promote products, against the interests of the country. He then went on to talk about the Chief Minister of Delhi (Arvind Kejriwal ) and Shashi Tharoor and how they are at a constitutional post. He was quoted saying, “If people holding constitutional power take money to promote products, against the interests of the country, then that becomes a point for worry. If a right-wing person promotes Jawan for some money, that’s not a problem. He is just earning some money. Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan , Aamir Khan, Virat Kohli promote products that they don’t use and will not ever use. That’s a business give and take.”
Reacting to the video, Tharoor tweeted- “It is a obviously a cheap bid for publicity, but the concern is that once a lie is repeated often enough, some people will start to believe it. Am seeking legal advice.”
On the idea behind The Vaccine War While talking to Firstpost, the filmmaker said, “The entire world shut down three years back and there was only darkness and no hope, and the enemy was invisible. After 8-9 months, when I took the vaccine, I couldn’t even feel I took the vaccine. That’s what fascinated me and I asked myself as to who made these vaccines. Everyone said India will never be able to make a vaccine, 40-50% of the population will perish, and that we have a poor medical infrastructure. I asked who are these people that keep working and we don’t even recognize them. That’s how the whole journey started. This is a superhero story for our young generation, and also a story that can be seen 50 years later. This film is going to be a milestone chapter.” Read all the Latest News , Trending News , Cricket News , Bollywood News , India News and Entertainment News here.
