Back in 2013, Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh starred together in Lootera. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the was an adaptation of O Henry’s The Last Leaf and came out in 2013. While speaking to Mashable India, the actress revealed, “Everyone told me not do Lootera. They said, ‘You are doing all the commercial movies, this is such an arty film.’ People were saying that you have to be a very polished actor to do a role like this and you are not mature enough to do this kind of role. When I heard the narration, it really moved me. I loved the film, I loved the role.” On Ranveer Singh When Ranveer came on the set, he said, ‘I’m going to be very calm over here. I’ve stopped having coffee.’ I was like, ‘Thank god.’ Ranveer had given up coffee so his energy is at a normal level. On Dahaad In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, Sonakshi who plays a cop on the show talked about her preparation for the role learning the Rajasthani dialect, women’s roles changing she getting choosy with cinema and more. Talking about her prep, she said, “All the actors did a lot of workshops for the show since Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar wanted to create a very authentic world. Our dialect coach Bharat Bhatnagar trained us with the language. Actually, actor Vijay Varma has Rajasthani roots and Sohum Shah is from Rajasthan, so for them it was fairly easy. For me it was something that I was attempting for the first time.
