Simmba box office collection: Rohit Shetty-Ranveer Singh's cop-drama inches towards Rs 200 cr mark

Rohit Shetty’s action-cop drama Simmba , which has been scoring big at the box office since the film opened on 28 December, is slowly inching towards the Rs 200 crore mark. On Monday, the Ranveer Singh-Sara Ali Khan film earned Rs 6.16 cr, registering a total of Rs 196.80 cr after the 11th day of its release. The film is on its way to become the third film in 2018 to reach the Rs 200 cr mark, after Sanju and Padmaavat . Simmba is also the highest opening film of Ranveer’s career collecting Rs 20.72 crore on first day. Simmba is expect to surpass the lifetime collections of Shetty’s highest-grossing films Chennai Express and Golmaal Again. 

Meanwhile, the Simmba team celebrated the success of the mass entertainer with a bash at Karan Johar’s residence. Among the attendees were Ranveer and Sara Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ajay Devgn, Kajol and Akshay Kumar.
