An earlier report states that Akshay Kumar's character will be called Veer Sooryavanshi, which seems to be inspired by Salman Khan's Veer (2010) and Suryavanshi (1992). Further, he will be seen as the chief of the anti-terrorism squad.

The actors were in attendance at the success bash of Simmba. Apart from Shetty's cop heroes, Karan Johar, Deepika Padukone, Kajol, Sonu Sood and designer Manish Malhotra attended the party. The mass entertainer has registered as the third highest grosser of 2018 and has also emerged as Ranveer's highest grosser in his career yet.
