Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is indeed a doting dad to his kids Zain and Misha Kapoor. The Udta Punjab actor often shares interesting glimpses of his little munchkins, depicting their beautiful bond. While Shahid and Mira Rajput became parents to their first child, daughter Misha in 2016, they later welcomed their second child, son Zain in September 2018. Just like any other parent, Shahid Kapoor’s life also changed a lot after becoming a father. One of the major changes that he embraced was quitting smoking after his daughter was born.
During his recent appearance on Neha Dhupia’s popular chat show ‘No Filter Neha’, Shahid Kapoor recalled how he used to hide from his daughter for smoking; however, later decided to give up his habit for Misha.
“When I used to smoke, I would hide from my daughter and do it. That is actually the reason I gave it up. One day when I was hiding and having my smoke, I told myself that I was not going to do this forever. That was the day when I finally decided to quit smoking,” he said.
‘A lot of changes have come’: Shahid Kapoor
This is not the first time that the actor has spoken about his children. Once, Shahid opened up about how his life changed after becoming a father. Earlier during an interaction with RJ Siddharth Kannan, the actor said, “I am sure a lot of things change and it is difficult to put into words. I feel the change now that I am a parent. It makes you a man, you become a little less self-observed, which I think all artists are. The minute you are less self-observed, you open yourself to new things and that’s great.”
On the work front
Shahid Kapoor was recently seen in Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah’s _Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya_ with Kriti Sanon. Having registered a decent start at the box office, the Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer film has already crossed the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office and has gained quite a lot of appreciation from the audience.
The film’s story revolves around the story of a robotics engineer Aryan Agnihotri (played by Shahid Kapoor) who falls in love with SIFRA (Kriti Sanon), a robot.
