Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan: Nayanthara upset with Atlee? Is Deepika Padukone the cause?

We can smell something burning and that’s definitely for a valid reason. Nayanthra feels her role was cut in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan to elevate Deepika Padukone. She is the female super star down south. She is not happy the way her character was shown in Jawan to highlight the performance of SRK and Deepika. She believes Atlee is completely responsible for it. Deepika Padukone was credited in Atlee’s film as a special appearance, but ultimately when the film was out it looked like a SRK- Padukone film.  And she thinks it to be intentional. According to reports, Nayanthara is the leading actor down south, and hence, she was not happy with the treatment of her role in _Jawan_. Probably that is the reason, she wasn’t seen in any of the before and after the release of the film. She wasn’t even physically present at the recent success meet that happened in Mumbai last week that was attended by everyone including Vijay Sethupathi. According to a report published in The Indian Express, while Nayanthara being in talks for several projects has been a point of discussion, there have also been speculations about her charging a hefty sum, as much as the top actors of Bollywood like Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone, for Jawan .“Her remuneration depends on the film and the people involved in it. It starts from ₹5 crore and goes as high as ₹10-12 crore, which is the highest any actress gets in South. And for this film as well, she charged around ₹10-11 crore, considering it was a pan-India project. The Firstpost review of Jawan said that Kollywood queen  Nayanthra was disappointing, not for her performance, but there wasn’t much for her to do. A good looking police officer who has learnt a few stunts, that’s it. The expressions were not realistic. I guess not much justice was done to her acting capabilities. Vijay Sethupathi played a villain whom you can’t stop hating and that is the power of his craftsmanship. Deepika Padukone’s short and sweet role was impressive.
