The assassination of NCP leader Baba Siddique on 12th October outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra, Mumbai sent shockwaves across the politics and film industry and the politician was close to celebs Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt and others.
While Salman, Sanjay, Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra, Pooja Bhatt, Zaher Iqbal and Maniesh Paul, among others, arrived at his funeral to pay their last respects, Shah Rukh Khan skipped it.
Now as per latest reports, SRK didn’t attend the funeral as he wants to stay away from politics as well as Baba Siddique’s murder case.
“Shah Rukh Khan doesn’t want to get associated in the politician’s murder case. The case is also related to Salman Khan and King Khan, for that matter, wishes to stay away from this! Knowing how Lawrence Bishnoi’s circuit works, Shah Rukh Khan doesn’t want any harm on him anymore. Hence, he has chosen ‘disappearance’ in the entire matter by skipping Baba Siddique’s funeral who was a close friend to him,” a source told Times Now.
The murder of Siddique led to a high-security tightening of Salman Khan. The actor’s father and veteran writer Salim Khan has now open about the murder and said that despite being close friends there is no connection between the two.
“Nahi, mujhe nahi lagta hai ki isse koi taluk hai. Isse koi taluk nahi hai, mujhe nahi lagta. Baba Siddique ka isse kya taluk hoga? Kisi bhi cheez ka bana dijiye. Aapne humko salaam nahi kiya, ab hum aapko maar denge. Aapne humko namaste nahi kiya, hum maar denge (No, I don’t think there is any connection. What connection will Baba Siddique have with this? We can make any story like this. You didn’t greet me, I’ll kill you),” said Salim Khan.
When the interviewer said that there is a narrative that the murder happened because Baba was trying to protect Salman from Lawrence Bishnoi’s Gang, Salim replied that policemen, family members are also protecting him. “Isme kya hai? Har koi bachana chahta hai…Zindagi jo hai kabhi bhi ja sakti hai, kisi ki bhi jasakti hai (So what? Everyone wants to save him…Anyone can lose their life anytime),” said Salim.
