The assassination of Salman Khan’s close friend and politician Baba Siddique has now led to high-security tightening of the megastar. The actor’s father and veteran writer Salim Khan has now open about the murder and said that despite being close friends there is no connection between the two.
“Nahi, mujhe nahi lagta hai ki isse koi taluk hai. Isse koi taluk nahi hai, mujhe nahi lagta. Baba Siddique ka isse kya taluk hoga? Kisi bhi cheez ka bana dijiye. Aapne humko salaam nahi kiya, ab hum aapko maar denge. Aapne humko namaste nahi kiya, hum maar denge (No, I don’t think there is any connection. What connection will Baba Siddique have with this? We can make any story like this. You didn’t greet me, I’ll kill you),” said Salim Khan.
When the interviewer said that there is a narrative that the murder happened because Baba was trying to protect Salman from Lawrence Bishnoi’s Gang, Salim replied that policemen, family members are also protecting him. “Isme kya hai? Har koi bachana chahta hai…Zindagi jo hai kabhi bhi ja sakti hai, kisi ki bhi jasakti hai (So what? Everyone wants to save him…Anyone can lose their life anytime),” said Salim.
Describing NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique as a close family friend, actor-producer Arbaaz Khan on Wednesday said the film industry is trying to recover from his loss.
Siddique, known for his starry iftar parties and Bollywood connections, was gunned down on Saturday outside his MLA son Zeeshan Siddique’s Mumbai office.
Siddique may have been targeted by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi because of his proximity to superstar Salman Khan, according to police.
At an event, Arbaaz, who is Salman’s younger brother, said he is praying for Siddique’s family.
“Baba Siddique was a close family friend and very loved person. The entire industry used to come together for his Eid celebrations.
“His passing is unfortunate… We all are affected by this incident. We are trying to recover from this,” he told reporters.
