In a turn of events, content creator Ranveer Allahbadia has been allowed by the Supreme Court to air his show after being asksed to maintain decency, netizens have reacted to the news by saying ‘Privilege of Upper Castes and Money power.’

Another said, “Because Mahakumbh is over, so now he doesn’t need to be in the news headlines!” A third commented- “Supreme court baaki cheezo pe dhyaan do…. Kuch dhang ke laws banao men ke liye regarding marriage and many more… Dhang se decisions do aur zyada kheechna band karo.”

Ranveer Allahbadia has garnered severe criticism for his distasteful ‘parents’ sex’ joke at Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent. Several FIRs have been registered against both the YouTubers along with all the people associated with the show including Apoorva Mukhija and Ashish Chanchlani.

Now, in a statement given to police, Ranveer has said that it was his mistake that he crossed the line and he should not have said that.

“I am a friend of Samay Raina. That is why I went to that show. It was my mistake to say the line which has caused controversy. I should not have said that,” said Ranveer to the police in his statement as per ABP News.

“We are  YouTubers  and that is why we keep coming on each other’s shows due to friendship,” he added.

Recently, the Centre aka Information and Broadcasting Ministry has warned Social media channels and OTT websites to follow the Code of Ethics prescribed in the IT Rules (2021) and ensure self-regularisation critically to implement ‘access control’ on ‘18+ content’ so that children could avoid inappropriate content.

The notification from the Centre said that it had received the complaint about the “spread of obscene, pornographic, and vulgar content by certain publishers of online curated content (OTT platforms) and social media”.
