Radhika Apte reveals she slapped a prominent Tamil actor for misbehaving with her on set
While working on a Tamil film, a famous South actor tickled Radhika Apte's feet. The actress instinctively slapped him.
Radhika Apte, who is known for playing characters that are incredibly self-aware and powerful, has the same persona off screen too. During her latest appearance on Neha Dhupia's talk show Vogue BFFs, the Phobia actress revealed that she once slapped a co-star for misbehaving with her on set.
While working on a Tamil film, a famous South actor tickled her feet, claims the actress. She was taken aback by his gesture as it was the first time they had met. Apte instantly reacted and slapped the actor for crossing the line.
On the professional front, the actress is currently basking in the success of her latest film, Padman, which was about the lack of menstrual hygiene in rural India. Apte was seen opposite Akshay Kumar in the R Balki directed film which went on to perform exceedingly well at the box office, despite being based on a taboo subject.
She will next be seen in Gauravv K Chawla's Bazaar which has Saif Ali Khan in a leading role. Chitrangda Singh is also returning to the screen with the film. Besides this corporate thriller, she will also be seen in Anurag Kashyap's short film in the love and lust anthology.
Saif Ali Khan on replacing Abhishek Bachchan in Bunty Aur Babli 2: "I was told it is a different movie and it is not the same character (that Bachchan played). Aditya Chopra obviously knows what he is doing, so my character has been tweaked because I was playing it."
John Abraham, once an experimental actor and symbol of unassuming masculinity, reduced to a demolishing machine today
Ironically, John Abraham was a punch-up, anti-establishment emblem sex symbol in his prime. The most unobvious of male leads — handsome, and yet approaching something other than the sum of his handsomeness.
Bunty Aur Babli 2 is not a sequel we didn't need. But it's a follow-up that needed much more.
