Petta teaser: Rajinikanth shines with his trademark idiosyncrasies in the Karthik Subbaraj directorial

Makers of Rajinikanth-starrer, upcoming Tamil feature  Petta , released a teaser of the film to commemorate the superstar’s 68th birthday. Being one of the most anticipated films, Petta will be helmed by Karthik Subbaraj and features actors such as Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Simran, Trisha, Malavika Mohanan, Megha Akash and Bobby Simha among others.

The teaser depicts Rajinikanth in his typical swagger. Slow motion shots capture the Thalaiva as he walks. The teaser ends with a fan-favourite — him wearing his shades with the now-trademark circular motion.

Petta will reportedly mark many firsts. Subbaraj will collaborate with Rajinikanth for the first time. Simran, Trisha and Sethupathy will be seen alongside Rajinikanth for the very first time as well. Siddiqui will make his Tamil debut with Petta and Anirudh Ravichander is scheduled to compose the score in his maiden project with Rajinikanth in Petta . Ravichander shared the teaser on his Twitter handle.

Petta has been reportedly shot in and around Darjeeling, Lucknow, Dehradun, Redhills and Chennai.

Pongal may well be a big event down south, especially since two major films are scheduled to release on the same day. Reportedly, Ajith-starrer Viswasam will release on the same day as Rajinikanth-starrer Petta. Watch the teaser here .
