Ryan Gosling performed I’m Just Ken with 65 other “Kens" including guitarist Slash and musician Mark Ronson. The performance, in the beginning, saw Gosling serenading his co-star Margot Robbie from the audience when he was en route to the stage. On the stage, he was accompanied by Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Ncuti Gatwa, and others. As the Barbie star made his way back to the audience and joined Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie who were singing along with him, the audience couldn’t contain the excitement.

Then came another delightful picture with Gosling taking a moment to pause near his La La Land co-star Emma Stone. She can be seen singing the lyrics with a mic on her hands. Such was the energy at the Dolby theatre that the audience, to applaud Ryan Gosling for his super-energetic performance, rose in a standing ovation.

Meanwhile, Ryan Gosling earned nominations in the Best Supporting Actor category for his performance in the blockbuster film Barbie. Greta Gerwig’s directorial blockbuster earned a total of 8 Academy Award nominations this year, including Best Picture.

Gosling’s performance came as a treat to his fans across the world who had been waiting for the actor to sing at the prestigious ceremony. Earlier in January, before the Oscar nominations were announced, the La La Land actor told W magazine, “Well, I haven’t been invited (to the ceremony).” He had, then, added, “And I wasn’t thinking about it until now, and now it’s all I’m going to think about. Do you get paid to sing at the Oscars? Do you have to drive yourself? What kind of scratch is involved? They pick you up at least, right?"
