Ryan Gosling’s performance and popularity were nothing sort of spectacular post the blockbuster success of 2023’s Barbie, and the KENergy is likely to take over the Oscar 2024 stage, if the insider news on his rehearsals have to go by. A source told People about Gosling, “Ryan was in great spirits, and he was a total pro. He was joking around and having a great time.”
“Ryan was relaxed, his spirits were high, and everyone was having fun,” added the source.
Ryan Gosling on Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig’s Oscars snub
The nominations list for Oscars 2024 turned out to be a surprising one as we witnessed some shocking snubs in major categories and among them were Barbie’s Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, who didn’t get nominated in the categories of Best Director and Best Actress in a Leading Role respectively.
Gosling said, “No Ken without Barbie.” The actor penned a long note, which read, “I am extremely honored to be nominated by my colleagues alongside such remarkable artists in a year of so many great films. And I never thought I’d be saying this, but I’m also incredibly honored and proud that it’s for portraying a plastic doll named Ken.”
He added, “But there is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally celebrated film. No recognition would be possible for anyone on the film without their talent, grit and genius. To say that I’m disappointed that they are not nominated in their respective categories would be an understatement.”
