The first look of Rana Daggubati as Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the highly-anticipated NTR biopic was unveiled on 13 December, same day as the actor’s birthday.
The film will revolve around the life of legendary actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, popularly known as NTR. The titular role will be essayed by NTR’s son, Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is the spitting image of his actor-director-politician father. Vidya Balan will essay the role of wife of NTR, Basavatarakam whom the politican married when he was 20 years old. The biopic also has Sumanth, in the role of A Nageswara Rao, another Telugu film industry stalwart and Sachin Khedekar will be seen playing former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nadendla Bhaskara Rao. Furthermore, Rakul Preet will be play late actress Sridevi in the film. The shooting of the NTR biopic began in July and it is being produced by N Balakrishna along with Sai Korrapti and Vishnu Induri, as has been reported earlier . The trailer will release on 16 December while the feature will hit cinemas on 9 January, 2019.
