Nimrat Kaur on joining Manoj Bajpayee's 'The Family Man' in season 3: ''There's nothing more fun than playing evil and...'

It’s never a dull moment when Nimrat Kaur is on-screen, and she’s back at the game with The Family Man Season 3. Prime Video has unveiled the trailer for the third season of its hit spy thriller series, with Manoj Bajpayee returning as the iconic character Srikant Tiwari, finding himself on the run from new adversaries - Nimrat Kaur as Meera and Jaideep Ahlawat as Rukma.

As Meera, Nimrat steps into a fiery character that’s equally bossy, fearless and powerful - but also vulnerable - and she strikes a perfect balance between the character arcs, leaving viewers excited about what she has in store against the memorable Srikant Tiwari. Going by Nimrat’s power-packed look in the trailer, the actress is betting big on being a sexy and sharp boss woman, totally in charge of the mission she takes on!

During the recently held trailer launch event, Nimrat revealed how ‘Meera’ is different from all other characters played by her in the past. “There’s nothing more fun than playing evil, and you don’t get to go to jail for it. That’s the best part. You can do whatever you want! And in their universe, you can really do whatever you want and get away with murder, plotting and have a great wardrobe while you do it - in high heels, with flamboyance and sex appeal, and Meera is all about that! I find her to be evil, but in couture! It’s a girl’s dream!” she said.

She also opened up about joining The Family Man universe and said, “It is said that you don’t choose where you’re born, you don’t choose where you die and you don’t choose your family, but I get to choose my family this time around, and there couldn’t have been a better one!" She added, “It was mindblowing! I’ve had the best time, and as a fan of the show, the journey is a ‘bucket list’ thing. To watch something and admire the creation, the characters, the actors - there’s a lot of curiosity and intrigue. To be a part of that story is really the biggest and most thrilling experience as an actor. So, it feels great!”

Nimrat called joining the series “a dream come true” and even shared that playing Meera was “both thrilling and challenging, as I had to match the caliber and performative brilliance of Manoj and Jaideep”. The Family Man Season 3 trailer also showcases signature elements of the series, including witty dialogues, high-octane action, thrilling chases and a lot more!

The explosive trailer was unveiled at a fan and media event in Mumbai on Friday, previewing the series created by Raj & DK under their D2R Films banner. Returning cast members include Sharib Hashmi as J.K. Talpade, Priyamani as Suchitra Tiwari, Ashlesha Thakur as Dhriti Tiwari, Vedant Sinha as Atharv Tiwari, Shreya Dhanwanthary as Zoya and Gul Panag as Saloni.
