Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have been in the news for quite some time due to their divorce rumours. While the duo has yet to address the claims, an interview of Nimrat Kaur about marriage has gone viral.
In a 2016 throwback interview with IndiaTimes.com, Nimrat opened up and said, “I was asked why I don’t want to get married, just because I am not married yet. I was like, I don’t know how you got this in your head! It has got nothing to do with not wanting to do something, just because I am currently not married. Marriage is something, they’re a matter of providence and they happen at their own time, when you meet the right person. I don’t think these things can be orchestrated.”
Also, an old video interview featuring Abhishek and Nimrat Kaur from their Dasvi promotions is going viral on the internet. In it, the actor praises his wife, Aishwarya .
“My wife is exceptional at that. She’s always been an amazing emotional support for me. I’ve been very lucky, my entire family has been. The wonderful thing about having a life partner like Aishwarya is that she is from the business. She gets it. She has been doing it slightly longer than I have. So, she knows the world. She has been through it all. So, it’s nice when you come home and if you’ve had a challenging day, you know that there’s somebody who gets it,” said Junior Bachchan in an interview with Bollywood Hungama.
“She has been somebody that, I have always noticed, has managed to traverse some of the most difficult times of her life with utmost dignity and grace. I really admire that about her. Actors are emotional people, we’re very, very hyper-sensitive. and there are times when we might just want to lash out and we kind of explode. You can only take so much. I’ve never seen her do that,” added the Ghoomer star, which made Nimrat and host smile. He also added that he is ‘very, very lucky’ to have a partner like Aishwarya.
