The online streaming giant Netflix launched the trailer of their first Marathi original Firebrand, which will release on 22 February. Helmed by National Award winning director Aruna Raje Patil, the film stars Usha Jadhav, Sachin Khedekar, Rajeshwari Sachdev and Girish Kulkarni. The trailer reveals that the film traces the journey of a successful lawyer (Jadhav), who tries to juggle her personal and professional life as she struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder and intimacy troubles in her marriage. As per a press release, Firebrand “touches upon the concept of modern day relationships and its complexities.” Firebrand is produced by actress Priyanka Chopra’s production house Purple Pebble Pictures whose credits include the Marathi film _Ventilator_ (2016), Kay Re Rascalaa and Sikkimese movie Pahuna: The Little Visitors (2018). Ventilator won three honours at the 64th National Film Awards. The film marks the first digital venture of Priyanka and her mother Madhu Chopra’s production house. Calling the film “powerful and pivotal”, Priyanka tweeted:
