Popular Marathi actors, Siddharth and Trupti Jadhav were voted out in the seventh episode of dance reality show, Nach Baliye 8 which was aired on Sunday (23 April).

The couple was in bottom two, along with Aashka Goradia and Brent Goble. Meanwhile, popular television actress Divyanka Tripathi who aggravated an old slip disc injury while rehearsing, could not perform with her doctor advising her complete rest for two weeks.

The judges allowed her baliye Vivek Dahiya to perform with choreographer Sonali Kar, and “to be fair’ to all, judged the act only on Vivek’s dance who performed on the remix version of 'Tu cheez badi hai mast mast'.

While Siddharth and Trupti Jadhav (R) got eliminated this week, Vivek Dahiya had to perform without partner Divyanka Tripathi (L).

Even as it was a huge challenge for Vivek as he was filling in for two people, he made up for the loss and gave an extremely energetic performance.

The judges were generous with the scores and were all praise for him, while a teary-eyed Divyanka, who was sitting among the audience, came up to Vivek with a bouquet of red roses.

Sanaya Irani – Mohit Sehgal and Aashka Goradia-Brent Goble became the highest scorers of the seventh episode. Both the couples got 28 points.

Sanaya and Mohit performed on 'Aaj jaane ki zidd na karo' in complex tango moves with lot of intricate leg movements.

According to judge Terence Lewis, this was Mohit’s best performance with the latter getting over his nervousness. Aashka and Brent did a sensuous act on 'Ram chahe leela', and Terence felt that the couple was able to match the chemistry of the original performers and actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.

Both were lauded for performing the difficult act in 'sand dunes' without getting distracted.

But, the highlight of the episode was celebrity guests, Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra’s love story, and how the former fixed his first date with Geeta.

Bhajji revealed that he fell in love with her the very first time he saw her on screen about a decade ago. Since he knew nothing about Bollywood actors, Bhajji said, he asked Yuvraj Singh about her and after hearing Yuvraj's remark on her beauty, he warned her that she is his bhabhi (sister-in-law).

Bhajji later messaged Geeta and asked her if she is interested in going on a date with him but Geeta, who was unaware of his popularity and had no knowledge about cricket or cricketers, ignored his message. It was after a few days when she congratulated him for India’s big win at the World Cup that they started talking.

Another couple whose love story got everyone’s attention in this episode was RJ Pritam Singh and Amanjjot.

Pritam revealed that they were on the verge of divorce around the time he participated in the reality show Bigg Boss last season, but somehow they stuck on and tried to save their marriage. However, Pritam and Amanjjot, who performed on Sonakshi’s hit number, 'Darling, tu pehle se kitna badal gaya' from Rowdy Rathore, couldn’t impress the judges and scored the lowest.

Judges felt that the couple was not able to match the level of energy and madness of the song.

"I really like it when contestants dance on my song and both of you have raised your standards and our expectations. The kind of energy and madness which is found in the original song was missing and it didn't make much impact," said Sonakshi.
