Kriti Sanon on winning the National Award for Best Actress for 'Mimi': 'It validates your talent'

Kriti Sanon is rapidly becoming one of the most bankable actresses of our time. Adding another feather to her cap, the diva recently bagged the  National Award for Best Actress for her heart-melting performance in the film Mimi. She recently flew to the national capital for the facilitation ceremony. During the event, Kriti Sanon opted for a cream saree with a tight bun, golden jewelry and light makeup. The actress also recently took to her official Instagram handle and dropped a video of behind the scene moments before the ceremony. She penned, “When we are in a moment, it’s very rare that we know that it’s gonna be one of the best moments of our lives.. yesterday felt like that!" Opening up regarding manifesting the National Award, Kriti Sanon revealed that Mimi is her first award for Best Actress. She disclosed that despite the National Award being a distant dream, she wrote about it in her diary. The stunner also stated that bagging a National Award within just a decade of being in Bollywood is a monumental achievement. Kriti Sanon also stated that seeing the pride in her parents’ eyes as her name was announced made this achievement even more special. She was quoted as saying, “The National Award validates your talent. I feel that also happened when Mimi released, it changed the kind of roles that were coming to me." Kriti Sanon gave a powerful performance in Mimi as a surrogate mother Mimi Rathore, who ends up learning the true meaning of motherhood and unconditional love. What’s next for Kriti Sanon?
